Please join us for the Oakville Day of Mourning at the memorial at Centennial Square (outside Central Library) every April 28th.

We all expect to return safe and healthy after a day’s work. Sadly, that is not always the case.

The National Day of Mourning is an annual day of remembrance for all workers who have been killed or injured on the job in Canada. The aim of this day is to publicly renew the commitment to fight for the safety of the living, as well as mourn for those workers who have died. Although it all began in Canada, the Day of Mourning is now commemorated in more than 70 countries worldwide.

We invite you to join us as we hear personal stories of loss in the workplace, and how important it is for each one of us to make workplace safety a priority.
